The sand-stone rock towns are the eden for tourists. But also the cyclists have had in the protected landscape Broumovsko their fun. There are many interesting cycling lanes which can make the trip for today. We can shorten the distances between interesting places going on bicycle but let`s not forget that we have our legs also for walking. The combination of walking and biking, it the receipt for knowing of this region.
The course of route
We start the trip in Police nad Metuji on the cycling lane nr. 4000 via the village Slany on the border on the Broumovske rock walls. We continue on the blue marked cycling lane nr. 4001 and this drive require good eyes, tyres, nerves, brakes…We go down to the cross Pod Spicakem and we go on with neverending downhill run around Bozanovsky Spicak and Koruna to the upper border of Martinkovice. We keep the same cycling lane from Martinkovice. We come to the pub Amerika, we change the blue cycling lane to the red one nr.4000 and continue to go around the edge. We come to the road connecting Broumov with Police, along this road 250 m to the right and we turn left to Bohdasin and Teplice nad Metuji, we go on the road from Teplice to Dolni Adrspach. After 2 km we come to the entrance to Teplicke Rocks. We continue to Adrspach, we come to the large carpark. Near the carpark there is the entrance to the Adrspach Rocks (they are worth of seeing but without your bike). We go back to the road and we go to Horni Adrspach and via Hodkovice, Janovice, Horni and Dolni Vernerovice, Vapenka and Vlasenka to Ceska Metuje and back to Police.

Adrspach
Dolni and Horni Adrspach is a resort and trip destination on the border of Adrspach Rocks. Renaissance chateau from the year 1577. On the northern part of the rock region there are small ruins of the castle with the same name.
Adrspach-Teplice Rocks
The national protected landscape area. Attractive area of the sand-stone rock towns and the small river Metuje flowing among the rocks. There are many rock towers which are the destinations of the climbers and the round in the rock town belongs to the unforgetable experince. The part of seeing is the ride on the boat on the Adrspach Lake.
Bromovske rock walls
The national protected landscape area. Forested edge with the sand-stone rocks 600-700 m above the sea level. Rock towns and edge massives , rock „muschrooms“. In the view from Broumov it appears like the zone of long and continuous walls – because it is named “walls”.
Ostas
The natural landscape area. Sand-stone mesa in the middle of Policka panev (700 m above the sea level), it is visible from a far. Varied mosaic of the sand-stone rocks which were influenced by geological processes and changes (efflorescence, moving of the slopes) and these gave them varied shapes and names (Tumulus of death, Devil`s bridge, Devil`s car, Cat`s castle…)
Police nad Metuji
Police became the town in the year 1253 by the privilege of Premysl Otakar 2nd. The town began to inhabit and began the business boom. In the times of Hussite wars the town was raided by the Silesian army and the inhabitants run into the rocks on Ostas. But someone revealed the hiding places and people were slaughtered. Since that time one rock is named “The Traitor”. Also the invasion of the Hungarian army brought the destruction to the town and during the Thirty Years` War the town was spoiled by the Swedish. Black Death, cholera and fires finished the inpoverishment of the people. The town began to recover in the 19th century.The linen open markets had the tradition. There are many Baroque sculptures, timbering storeyed school, Empire fountain, Baroque town hall.
Teplice nad Metuji
Town Teplice is sought-after by the tourist and climbers for its location, natural beauties of the rocks and woods. The town was established in the year 1362. It has Lower and Upper castle. Teplicke rock town – beautiful and wild nature, the labyrinth of the tall sand-stone towers, rock gullets. The first-class touristic area and the eden for climbers. The national nature reserve, the part of the Protected landscape area Broumovsko.
