Harrachov lies in the western Krkonose (Giant Mountains). We can visit many interesting natural, cultural and other places in Harrachov. Glass works Novosad & Son – the follower of the many-years tradition in glass production in Krkonose (Giant Mountains) was established in 1712. The part of the Glass Works is the minibrewery, which produce a special „glass beer“. The glass is sold for a good price in the area of Glass Works. The Glass Museum – the exposition shows the complete history of the glass production in Krkonose (Giant Mountains). The Museum of Winter Sports – shows the successes of the local sportsmen – the representatives of the Czech Republic. The Mining Museum – the mining of minerals ended in the year 1992, but this aktivity is shown to you in the interesting exposition. Ski-jumps – the only ski-jumps in Krkonose (Giant Mountains), accredited by FIS to organize the World Cup in Ski Jumps, The Championship etc. Ski area „Certova hora“ 650–1,020 metres above the sea level, 4 piste in the length of 7 km, cableways, ski-tows with the capacity 4,450 people per hour, artifical snow, night skiing. Snowboarding („U“ ramp), winter paragliding, ski school, ski-service, ski rental service….Crosscountry skiing – ski-tracks for competitors and tourist trips – 110 km. Certova hora 1,022 metres above the sea level – famous starting point (hiking, biking and skiing) the seat lift takes you up from Harrachov. In Harrachov you can also find summer swimming pool, bowling, golf area and exellent conditions to play tennis and minigolf. Krakonos and his train comes to Harrachov each first weekend in March (folklore event with various cultural and sport program), Pramen Labe (the Labe source) is a favourite destination of hiking trips as well as the Mumlava vodopad (Mumlava waterfalls).
