Janske Lazne

Janske Lazne is eminent spa and winter resort (snowboarding, down-hill skiing, crosscountry skiing) and it is situated in the eastern part of Krkonose (Giant Mountains), in the valley of Jansky potok (Jansky Stream) on the southern slope of Cerna hora 1,299 metres above the sea level. This recreation and spa resort thanks for its fame to its good climatic location and hot spring which was found out in the 11th century. Janske Lazne is not only a spa resort but it is also a summer and winter resort with the wide offer of accommodation. There is a wagon in the length of 2,300 m and 14 other ski lifts. The longest piste in the ski area has 3 km and the superelevation 550m. All the piste and crosscountry tracks are arranged with the snow machine and large part of them can be snowed with the artificial snow to have ideal skiing during the whole winter. In the ski-area neighbourhood there is more than 40 km of crosscountry tracks and one bobsleigh track which is 4 km long.
