Skiing Vitkovice

The village of Vitkovice in Krkonose is situated in the District of Semily, northeast part of the Czech Republic, 683 metres above sea level. Two ski areas Vurmovka and Vitkovice - Aldrov offer excellent conditions for beginners as well as experienced skiers. The area Vitkovice - Aldrov consists of two ski lifts (700 metres long), with elevation of 132 metres. Ski slopes with snow-making machines. Night skiing and refreshment is provided. Ski area Vurmovka is located 750 - 850 metres above sea level. It is suitable especially for families with children. Vitkovice offers also good conditions for cross-country skiing. Short machine-groomed trails are situated above the Aldrov skiing area, providing the point of departure to Rezek, Dvoracky and the ridges of the Giant Mountains. Cross-country trails for expert skiers are to be found on the ridge between Horní Misecky and Predni Zaly.
